December 10th, 2021 – What a year! With several of our competitors abruptly cutting service to established customers during an intense labor shortage, Desert Pro was able to successfully start up several new customers for regular scheduled service. Having lost several employees ourselves, we navigated through a difficult time, maintaining reliable, and thorough, service for our customers. Many thanks to our loyal employees! We were forced to move rate hikes across most of our customer base, to move a base hourly increase to our current and new employees, and to offset increased costs for business insurance, and cleaning supplies. We are looking forward to 2022 with hopes for a more stable economy and labor environment.

July 29th, 2021 – It’s been a while since we updated here. It’s been an exciting, and chaotic year. In late April 2020, nearly 70 % of my customers suspended service because of Covid 19. By November, all but two had restored service. Since January of 2021, we have grown over 35%. Finding reliable, honest staff, willing to work has been difficult. However, my amazing employees have stuck by me. It has been a challenge to balance to an increased demand for service…as several of my competitors have stopped service at many customers due to the labor shortage. I have not had to do that. But, I have had to turn down some, but not all, new work. As Dickens wrote, “It was the best of times. It was the worst of times..” We continue to provide reliable, honest, thorough, service as we grow, and struggle to react to  changing business conditions precipitated by our new administrations somewhat bizarre economic and monetary policies.

December 4, 2018 – Time flies! We haven’t updated here in a while. It’s been a great 2018. Our customer base continues to grow at a manageable pace. February 19, 2016 – Tucson’s economy continues to struggle. Desert Pro has lost several long term customers early this year as a result of business contraction. However, for the several customers we have lost for this reason, we have found new customers to help grow our business. We recently welcomed a local computer repair showroom, a home heating repair business office, a local psychologist, and a call center. We have seen an increase in new retail store final dust cleanup requests. And, we did participate in in final dust cleanup and tenant “Move In” assistance at the new Simon Premium Outlets Mall, in Marana, AZ, for both the new Tommy Hilfiger and Coach Factory stores.

January 15, 2015 – 2015 is off to a good start! Desert Pro staff worked hard during the holidays to accommodate customer holiday schedule changes. We had to juggle a bit. However, we were able to respond to our customers requests to change service dates on short notice to accommodate holiday parties and vacations. Desert Pro is proud to announce that it has added three new customers recently. A well known and established accounting firm in NW Tucson, a home health care agency, and local food service customer add to our list of growing customers. One of the things we enjoy is addressing a customers cleaning “backlog” when we start a new customer. All of these recently added customers required extensive deep cleaning to “reset the baselines” and get these customers feeling good about their work environment. For some of our customers we will spend an extraordinary amount of additional time on our first, and sometimes second, cleaning visits to get our new customer back on track, at no additional charge.

June 21, 2014 Desert Pro is proud to announce the addition of two new regularly scheduled customers. We will now be servicing a chiropractor NW of Tucson. We will also be servicing a dermatology clinic east of Tucson. Poor service associated with a competitor opened up an opportunity for Desert Pro Commercial Cleaning to bid the dermatology clinic. More than one third of our current customer base is as a result of one of our competitors providing unreliable or poor quality service. We are happy to step in and grow our business by outperforming our competition.

Desert Pro staff filled two 15 cubic yard dumpsters with trash from the building and the lot before cleaning the interior and pressure washing the exterior. February 19, 2014 – 2014 is off to a slow start for new customers. We are seeing a small increase in requests for residential tenant “Move Out” cleanups. There is something very satisfying about seeing the relief on an owner/property managers face when they see the dust, dirt, grease, and grime removed from a home after a tenant moves out.

November 30, 2013 – Home remodel cleanups have tapered off over the last several months. One of our longest term customers has had to scale back service in a Tucson economy that has struggled for a very long time. Working with our customer we identified areas where we could adjust our cleaning routine to reduce our time on site and reduce the cost to our customer. Our recent requests for estimates have increased as businesses mull over changing their janitorial service for the new year 2014. Businesses are shopping carefully however. This serves as a reminder that providing efficient service at a value is important to customers in tough economic times. We are very thankful for the business relationships we have with our customers.

August 25, 2013 – Home remodel cleanups for property managers continues at an increased pace. One of our existing customers has expanded their service as a result of growth. Desert Pro completed three new remodel cleanups in the last two weeks. We are also proud to announce two new regular service customers. A large northwest outdoor living showroom has asked us to provide the showroom and bathroom cleaning on a regular basis. Showroom window cleaning is important to them. We make that glass shine! A women’s clothing store in the university area has asked Desert Pro to provide similar showroom cleaning, bathroom, and floor cleaning, in their busy location. On a sad note, we lost two regular customers this month. One as a result of a significant cutback in their government funding necessitating a move to smaller quarters and an elimination of our cleaning service. Another long term customer is struggling to survive in central Tucson. Increased graffitti, wandering homeless people, and crime, in their area of Tucson, has affected their business traffic and necessitated an elimination of our cleaning service. They will require that employees of the business clean bathrooms, floors, kitchen, and other areas of this 9000 square foot building. Nonetheless, Desert Pro moves forward.

We were also very pleased when a local contractor whom we had assisted with a cleanup early in 2012, called us and asked us to again assist them with a site cleanup of a residential apartment complex clubhouse. Our good work for this contractor prompted them to reward us with additional work.

April 6, 2013 – Desert Pro Commercial Cleaning, LLC. just completed it’s third retail cleanup at La Encantada Mall for a Phoenix based property manager. The tenants of this upscale open air shopping and entertainment complex expect a detailed cleanup and store prep in advance of their grand openings. This Phoenix based property manager felt confidant enough in our work quality to bring us back a third time. Additionally, expansion has prompted one of our newest call center customers to increase the frequency of service we provide them in their 7000 square foot facility. December 1, 2012 – It’s that time of year again! We get calls from businesses that signed cleaning contracts with some of our competitors and they want out! Poor quality service, too many missed cleaning days, and lack of attention to detail. Contracts end on December 31st and these businesses have decided they want to find a better, more dependable janitorial service. Desert Pro Commercial Cleaning LLC only requires a 14 notice to terminate our service. Fortunately for us, we have not lost a customer for the reason of poor service, or price, since we started our business (knock on wood). We are more than happy to offer you a better alternative for your cleaning needs.

November 23, 2012 – Desert Pro recently completed a “Move Out Clean-up” of a 10 room clinic on Speedway Blvd. in Tucson. The prior tenant had left quite a mess. August 17, 2012 – Just finished two “move out” cleaning assignments. Both customers were very satisfied with our work. I am reminded of how dirty a rental home can get when tenants do not take care of basic cleaning. Ceiling fans gather dirt and dust in thick layers. Soap scum left in a shower stall for years can be as hard as concrete. Oven interiors coated in black residue. Sliding door tracks filled with dirt and grime. Over several days these jobs evolve from a simple assignment to a “mission”. Get the house clean again so that the owner is proud to show the home for sale or rent. That’s what we do!

We have finished the 2nd pass and will revisit this facility for a final cleanup, just before the tenant takes possession.

April 27, 2012 – Completed a multi day cleanup of a vacant Marana warehouse that had, over time, accumulated significant silt runoff, weeds, and debris, on it’s exterior lot. The inside of the warehouse and attached offices were left dirty by the last tenant. Cobwebs were everywhere! February 27, 2012 – We are proud to announce our most recent addition to a growing list of clients receiving scheduled cleaning service. Desert Pro now provides weekly cleaning service for a local Pima County dance studio. We spent over 11 hours on the 1st day, cleaning many months of grime and dirt from floors, carpets, bathrooms, and doors, along with other necessary cleaning. This new customer was surprised, and very pleased, that we would spend so much time in their facility on the very first day, “getting the place back where we can be proud of it”.

February 1, 2012 – Desert Pro Commercial Cleaning, LLC. has expanded it’s services for a local software company. We are now cleaning additional office space for this client who has subleased unused office space to a local social action network. We will provide cleaning service for this new tenant on a weekly basis.

This customer is pleased and we are also happy!

Cleaning windows, walls, doors and door frames, cleaning floors, keeping newly installed carpets looking fresh, and laying sealer and finish coats on V.C.T. floors is part of what we are doing for this property owner.

September 20, 2011 – Thanks to prior word-of-mouth advertising from our existing, Tucson office cleaning client base, we have grown a bit and see an opportunity to expand our customer base without sacrificing quality or service.
