December 10th, 2021 – What a year! With several of our competitors abruptly cutting service to established customers during an intense labor shortage, Desert Pro was able to successfully start up several new customers for regular scheduled service. Having lost several employees ourselves, we navigated through a difficult time, maintaining reliable, and thorough, service for our customers. Many thanks to our loyal employees! We were forced to move rate hikes across most of our customer base, to move a base hourly increase to our current and new employees, and to offset increased costs for business insurance, and cleaning supplies. We are looking forward to 2022 with hopes for a more stable economy and labor environment.
July 29th, 2021 – It’s been a while since we updated here. It’s been an exciting, and chaotic year. In late April 2020, nearly 70 % of my customers suspended service because of Covid 19. By November, all but two had restored service. Since January of 2021, we have grown over 35%. Finding reliable, honest staff, willing to work has been difficult. However, my amazing employees have stuck by me. It has been a challenge to balance to an increased demand for service…as several of my competitors have stopped service at many customers due to the labor shortage. I have not had to do that. But, I have had to turn down some, but not all, new work. As Dickens wrote, “It was the best of times. It was the worst of times..” We continue to provide reliable, honest, thorough, service as we grow, and struggle to react to changing business conditions precipitated by our new administrations somewhat bizarre economic and monetary policies.
August 24, 2020 – Desert Pro is proud to announce that a local, long established, Tucson performing arts venue has selected Desert Pro Commercial Cleaning to provide Tucson Covid-19 cleaning service for it’s one hundred seat theater. We will be sanitizing this venue twice weekly, and after every performance, to provide an added layer of safety for theater guests and performers.

August 1, 2020 – Marking a COVID-19 pandemic business milestone. After several months, of reduced service activity associated with the economic downturn, resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, Desert Pro is pleased to announce that we have surpassed our pre-pandemic level of service activity. Back to business! Full steam ahead. We are looking forward to future growth.
June 1st, 2020 – After suffering a dramatic reduction in service visits, from established customers, in the last week of April, we are relieved, and thankful, to see so many of our long established customers returning to close to normal business activity. Southern Arizonan’s are resilient and creative. We work. We bend. We find a way to move forward.
May 5th, 2020 – Desert Pro has expanded out disinfection cleaning services to include the option of broad dis-infection, using an electric “fine mist” sprayer. Allowing our staff to economically disinfect large surface areas with an EPA approved virus disinfectant. Several customers have requested this additional service to address cases where an employee, or close family member of an employee, or visitor, have been diagnosed with a Covid-19 infection.
December 4, 2018 – Time flies! We haven’t updated here in a while. It’s been a great 2018. Our customer base continues to grow at a manageable pace. With our son on our growing team, performance has been solid. Noting two new customers…..A large, 3000+ resident retirement community in Pima County has employed us to provide two, night time cleaners, on a six day per week basis, to clean locker rooms, a fitness center, pool deck area, common area bathrooms, meeting halls, and recreation halls. We have reduced their resident complaints to nearly zero, solving a quality control problem for their property management. Additionally, we are now servicing a 10 building condo association. Cleaning their interior, common area, resident hallways and several pool areas. We love to hear the praise from satisfied residents!

February 11, 2017 – Wow! Just seeing how long it’s been since we have updated this news link. 2016 was a solid year. We added 17 regular service customers in 2017. We the signs of an economic turnaround in Pima County, we have seen requests for bids tick up in the last quarter of 2016 and early 2017. We hope to be able to announce the expansion of Tucson Desert Pro to a Phoenix area city, very shortly. Stay tuned. We hope you have a wonderful 2017!
February 19, 2016 – Tucson’s economy continues to struggle. Desert Pro has lost several long term customers early this year as a result of business contraction. However, for the several customers we have lost for this reason, we have found new customers to help grow our business. We recently welcomed a local computer repair showroom, a home heating repair business office, a local psychologist, and a call center. We have seen an increase in new retail store final dust cleanup requests. And, we did participate in in final dust cleanup and tenant “Move In” assistance at the new Simon Premium Outlets Mall, in Marana, AZ, for both the new Tommy Hilfiger and Coach Factory stores.
August 29, 2015 – Desert Pro is proud to announce that we have added two new regular service customers to our growing list of satisfied clients. We have added a local property management office along with a psychiatric clinic. with the heat of summer beginning to wane, requests for bids on construction site, post occupancy “final cleaning” are picking up.

We also added a local health and wellness center along with an extended residential “Move In” cleanup for a foothills businessman. We are so thankful for the support of our wonderful employees and friends.
January 15, 2015 – 2015 is off to a good start! Desert Pro staff worked hard during the holidays to accommodate customer holiday schedule changes. We had to juggle a bit. However, we were able to respond to our customers requests to change service dates on short notice to accommodate holiday parties and vacations. Desert Pro is proud to announce that it has added three new customers recently. A well known and established accounting firm in NW Tucson, a home health care agency, and local food service customer add to our list of growing customers. One of the things we enjoy is addressing a customers cleaning “backlog” when we start a new customer. All of these recently added customers required extensive deep cleaning to “reset the baselines” and get these customers feeling good about their work environment. For some of our customers we will spend an extraordinary amount of additional time on our first, and sometimes second, cleaning visits to get our new customer back on track, at no additional charge.
June 21, 2014 – Desert Pro is proud to announce the addition of two new regularly scheduled customers. We will now be servicing a chiropractor NW of Tucson. We will also be servicing a dermatology clinic east of Tucson. Poor service associated with a competitor opened up an opportunity for Desert Pro Commercial Cleaning to bid the dermatology clinic. More than one third of our current customer base is as a result of one of our competitors providing unreliable or poor quality service. We are happy to step in and grow our business by outperforming our competition.
May 27, 2014 – We have seen a steady flow of work over the last several months. Desert Pro staff recently completed a cleanup of one of Tucson’s largest day care centers. We are pending a very recent bid for what may be our largest daily cleaning customer to date.
April 27, 2014 – Wrapping up an extensive cleanup of a vacant restaurant in Pima County. Desert Pro staff filled two 15 cubic yard dumpsters with trash from the building and the lot before cleaning the interior and pressure washing the exterior. This work will allow the owner and their commercial real estate broker to place this property on the market and potentially return a well liked restaurant to the local community. We love it when we can give new life to a blighted building.
March 11, 2014 – Desert Pro recently successfully completed several “Move In” cleanups for several local property managers. We are also proud to announce the addition of a new customer who has hired us to provide do weekly janitorial service in their customer service and bookkeeping area. The first cleaning for this local firm was a challenge as they had not had a proper cleaning in several months. We made quite a bit a headway at “resetting the baselines” in our first visit.
February 19, 2014 – 2014 is off to a slow start for new customers. We are seeing a small increase in requests for residential tenant “Move Out” cleanups. There is something very satisfying about seeing the relief on an owner/property managers face when they see the dust, dirt, grease, and grime removed from a home after a tenant moves out.
November 30, 2013 – Home remodel cleanups have tapered off over the last several months. One of our longest term customers has had to scale back service in a Tucson economy that has struggled for a very long time. Working with our customer we identified areas where we could adjust our cleaning routine to reduce our time on site and reduce the cost to our customer. Our recent requests for estimates have increased as businesses mull over changing their janitorial service for the new year 2014. Businesses are shopping carefully however. This serves as a reminder that providing efficient service at a value is important to customers in tough economic times. We are very thankful for the business relationships we have with our customers.
August 25, 2013 – Home remodel cleanups for property managers continues at an increased pace. One of our existing customers has expanded their service as a result of growth. Desert Pro completed three new remodel cleanups in the last two weeks. We are also proud to announce two new regular service customers. A large northwest outdoor living showroom has asked us to provide the showroom and bathroom cleaning on a regular basis. Showroom window cleaning is important to them. We make that glass shine! A women’s clothing store in the university area has asked Desert Pro to provide similar showroom cleaning, bathroom, and floor cleaning, in their busy location. On a sad note, we lost two regular customers this month. One as a result of a significant cutback in their government funding necessitating a move to smaller quarters and an elimination of our cleaning service. Another long term customer is struggling to survive in central Tucson. Increased graffitti, wandering homeless people, and crime, in their area of Tucson, has affected their business traffic and necessitated an elimination of our cleaning service. They will require that employees of the business clean bathrooms, floors, kitchen, and other areas of this 9000 square foot building. Nonetheless, Desert Pro moves forward.
July 25, 2013 – Desert Pro is proud to announce the newest addition to our growing list of satisfied customers. We completed our first weekly cleaning visit to a foothills office of a network support company. They had struggled with maintaining a clean workplace using the service of “family friends”. Our Desert Pro staff addressed several cleaning tasks that had gotten a bit “out of control”. We could not help but observe the look of relief on the face of our customer. Clean carpets, clean bathrooms, clean break room. That’s what we do.
July 10, 2013 – Desert Pro is proud to announce three new customers. We are now providing cleaning to a local Foothills Hair Salon with two separate locations. Keeping this type business clean requires careful attention to hair clippings, stainless steel and glass cleaning, and keeping windows and wash stations clean. We are also cleaning for a local engineering firm with over 18,000 square feet in three buildings. Additionally, a NW Pima County real estate office, “on the rebound”, has seen their business activity increase such that they require regular office cleaning. We are thankful that these businesses have trusted Desert Pro Commercial Cleaning, LLC., with their cleaning needs.
June 5, 2013 – Desert Pro Commercial Cleaning, LLC. is moving to new digs! While we will still accept mail at our PO Box 35085 Tucson, AZ 85704, we have established a new physical address at 7235 North Paseo Del Norte, Tucson, AZ 85704.
April 24, 2013 – Desert Pro is proud to announce that we have two new customers! A local upscale Beauty School has asked us to begin cleaning their facility. We will also be starting weekly service for a Northwest Pima County insurance agency. We will work hard to earn the respect and trust of these new clients. We were also very pleased when a local contractor whom we had assisted with a cleanup early in 2012, called us and asked us to again assist them with a site cleanup of a residential apartment complex clubhouse. Our good work for this contractor prompted them to reward us with additional work.
April 6, 2013 – Desert Pro Commercial Cleaning, LLC. just completed it’s third retail cleanup at La Encantada Mall for a Phoenix based property manager. The tenants of this upscale open air shopping and entertainment complex expect a detailed cleanup and store prep in advance of their grand openings. This Phoenix based property manager felt confidant enough in our work quality to bring us back a third time. We also completed several “Move In” cleanups in what is proving to be a more active residential home sale market. Several new office cleaning clients are considering our bids. As always we are thankful for our new opportunities.
March 12, 2013 – We haven’t updated in a while as it has been a very busy month. We are so grateful to have added a new customer for bi-weekly cleaning. A NW Tuscon dental practice has selected Desert Pro as their cleaning service. Infection control is paramount here. A Phoenix general contractor has again asked us to assist in a dust cleanup associated with a remodeled retail store location in La Encantada Mall. Additionally, expansion has prompted one of our newest call center customers to increase the frequency of service we provide them in their 7000 square foot facility. Lastly, a valued customer asked us to assist with a “Move out” cleanup of one of her residential rental units. We were glad to assist. Mildly improving economic conditions in Pima County has created new opportunities or our company. We are very thankful.

This will necessitate the addition of a part time employee to service this customer in eastern Arizona.
December 21, 2012 – Finished a post construction cleanup on a secure government facility today. Check out our “Success Story” photographs. 12,000 square feet of warehouse floor, shelves, and walls, had to be dust free. Several thousand square feet of dust filled office space and modular furniture had to be cleaned. The site manager for the government agency was very pleased. If he is pleased, we are pleased.
December 1, 2012 – It’s that time of year again! We get calls from businesses that signed cleaning contracts with some of our competitors and they want out! Poor quality service, too many missed cleaning days, and lack of attention to detail. Contracts end on December 31st and these businesses have decided they want to find a better, more dependable janitorial service. Desert Pro Commercial Cleaning LLC only requires a 14 notice to terminate our service. Fortunately for us, we have not lost a customer for the reason of poor service, or price, since we started our business (knock on wood). We are more than happy to offer you a better alternative for your cleaning needs.
November 23, 2012 – Desert Pro recently completed a “Move Out Clean-up” of a 10 room clinic on Speedway Blvd. in Tucson. The prior tenant had left quite a mess. Dirty, dusty carpets, filthy bathrooms, and a fine layer of dusty grime on virtually all horizontal surfaces. We had to get rid of that dust and grime before repainting. This was a 13 1/2 hour job for Desert Pro staff. Check out a couple photo’s we posted to our “Success Stories” link for an example of what we can do for your dirty bathrooms.

September 26, 2012 – Desert Pro is pleased to announce that we have been selected to complete a warehouse cleanup on a new, 12,000 square foot U.S. Government facility located adjacent to Davis Monthan AFB. This should be an exciting project in a state-of-the art facility. The challenge to these type cleanups is that dust gets everywhere. Every nook and cranny has to be cleaned. We know how to do this.
September 11, 2012 – Did you know that we will do an initial “deep clean” of your commercial office, at no additional cost, if you establish a cycle of regular daily, bi weekly, or weekly service with us? If your office has gotten a bit “out of control”, Desert Pro will take care of that backlogged mess and get you back on the right path. Quality Tucson janitorial service is our hallmark.
August 17, 2012 – Just finished two “move out” cleaning assignments. Both customers were very satisfied with our work. I am reminded of how dirty a rental home can get when tenants do not take care of basic cleaning. Ceiling fans gather dirt and dust in thick layers. Soap scum left in a shower stall for years can be as hard as concrete. Oven interiors coated in black residue. Sliding door tracks filled with dirt and grime. Over several days these jobs evolve from a simple assignment to a “mission”. Get the house clean again so that the owner is proud to show the home for sale or rent. That’s what we do!
June 28, 2012 – Desert Pro is proud to announce that is we have a new weekly Tucson office cleaning customer. A local marketing and customer service company has asked us to provide weekly janitorial service at their new 7000 square foot office on Ft Lowell Ave. We are rearin’ to go! Welcome aboard.

We are very appreciative of the trust placed in us, by our loyal customers.
April 30, 2012 – Desert Pro staff are well into a cleanup of a remodeled 11 room residential apartment clubhouse. There is quite a bit of wood baseboard that needs to be cleaned before final “touch ups” are attended to. The theater requires extra attention with lots of “nooks and crannies” where dust has collected. We have finished the 2nd pass and will revisit this facility for a final cleanup, just before the tenant takes possession.
April 27, 2012 – Completed a multi day cleanup of a vacant Marana warehouse that had, over time, accumulated significant silt runoff, weeds, and debris, on it’s exterior lot. The inside of the warehouse and attached offices were left dirty by the last tenant. Cobwebs were everywhere! Desert Pro thoroughly cleaned the offices, carpets, cabinets, bathrooms, warehouse floors, ceiling rafters, and walls. We also stripped and finished the V.C.T. floors. This building looks much better to a prospective buyer or tenant! Here’s hoping that this building sells soon.

Additionally, Desert Pro Commercial Cleaning, LLC. recently finished a particularly challenging cleanup of a local equipment rental center. March 27, 2012 – We are proud to announce a new, three times weekly, commercial office cleaning customer. Their prior cleaning service failed to keep “common area” restrooms properly stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, and soap. As a result, Desert Pro, LLC. will begin servicing this customers needs for office cleaning, common area cleaning, window washing, and exterior walkway and stairway pressure washing, in a 16,000 square foot two story office development. Desert Pro will provide this customer the consistent, dependable, quality, service that our customers expect of us.
March 3, 2012 – Desert Pro Commercial Cleaning is happy to provide service to a thriving local massage therapy center, briefly, while their established cleaning technician is recovering from injury. A Thank You is in order for this BNI referral. Is it wrong to hope that they might use us on a more permanent basis? If not, we are glad to help this business on a “one time” basis.
February 27, 2012 – We are proud to announce our most recent addition to a growing list of clients receiving scheduled cleaning service. Desert Pro now provides weekly cleaning service for a local Pima County dance studio. We spent over 11 hours on the 1st day, cleaning many months of grime and dirt from floors, carpets, bathrooms, and doors, along with other necessary cleaning. This new customer was surprised, and very pleased, that we would spend so much time in their facility on the very first day, “getting the place back where we can be proud of it”.
February 1, 2012 – Desert Pro Commercial Cleaning, LLC. has expanded it’s services for a local software company. We are now cleaning additional office space for this client who has subleased unused office space to a local social action network. We will provide cleaning service for this new tenant on a weekly basis.
December 6, 2011 – We surprised a customer recently by offering to reduce our monthly cleaning charge by $100.00. Why, you might ask? We improved our efficiency in cleaning this customer’s site, reducing our time at the site, and given the reduced amount of time to complete the work, we were able to pass a savings on the the customer. While they had no complaints about the original price, it was the right thing to do.
December 6, 2011 – Update on our new Veterinary center client. They contacted us today to let us know they were very pleased with the 1st cleaning. They were dis-satisfied with the prior cleaning company in that they were not very effective at removing pet hair from a vinyl floor. Desert Pro made sure we paid attention to this concern. This customer is pleased and we are also happy!
November 23, 2011 – Desert Pro is pleased to announce a new weekly cleaning customer! We are beginning service to a local Veterinary center in east Tucson. We will need to make sure that pet hair is removed from a no-slip vinyl floor and attend to the extensive glass doors and windows in this clinic, along with other general cleaning. Desert Pro commercial cleaning will work hard to satisfy this new customer.
November 11, 2011 – Desert Pro recently added two new weekly clients to it’s customer list! Also, we are well on the way to completing a project for a major federal contractor. Desert Pro staff is prepping a 17,000 square foot office building for it’s new tenants. Cleaning windows, walls, doors and door frames, cleaning floors, keeping newly installed carpets looking fresh, and laying sealer and finish coats on V.C.T. floors is part of what we are doing for this property owner.
September 20, 2011 – Thanks to prior word-of-mouth advertising from our existing, Tucson office cleaning client base, we have grown a bit and see an opportunity to expand our customer base without sacrificing quality or service. Trust me when I say, we can always find the resources to service a new Tucson janitorial services or Tucson warehouse cleaning customer! Please browse our site for more information about Tucson Desert Pro Commercial Cleaning, LLC.
